for some reason the audio timing is off every time I upload it to myspace… :\
don’t be surprised by that. after all, you’re uploading it to some third party website. It’s going to upload the video and audio file separately.

Sorry for little offtopic, since i do re-encodes to .avi sometimes, i wonder which tool is the best, because with mencoder i rather often get totally unstyled hardsubs and they are huge… it’s something about videos timestamp, but i don’t get where’s the problem :/

I tend to just use an avisynth script.
Nick Tsutsunava has a nice guide on using megui to convert into avi.

The “there will always be avi” makes me just come here more and get more releases XD (hint: release more series MOAR, lol)
I use the old-fashioned way: VirtualDubMod for converting the file (mp4, ogm or mkv) to avi.^^
Gives great results with the right fonts and takes about 20-25min pr episode for me.

tnx Yuugu, however after seeing that it takes double or even triple the time than just with command-line mencoder(meGUI based on it too) i got good motivation to take 2nd try on googling. Successfully found how to resize, re-position and change fonts also for subs. 30min re-encode for 1 epi i think is pretty good for shitty pc
