Anyways, here’s a status just to feed you all.
Kiss x Sis: I have no clue what’s left to do. I think it’s ready for release encode? (That’s our organization skills for you.)
PH WS 06: Whatever comes after the workraw.
PH 21: At final encode.
Canaan 09: At editing At QC.
Also, we’ve been considering dropping the Pandora Hearts WS episodes and subbing the DVDs instead. Feel free to post some input on this.

Well, at the speed you’re releasing the WS, the DVD releases are going to get ahead of you. In fact you’re already at a tie right now. So… as long as you’re speedy with the DVDs, I’d say go for it.

Personally, I think it’d be easier to encode from DVDs. It should save me the hassle of encoding losslesses, which is one of the main reasons WS encoding takes forever.

Also, no matter what we decide on, we’ll do WS 06 before any DVDs.

well, if we do dvd releases, there won’t be anymore crappy audio and the quality of the video will be higher.

I DLed the first retrace iso from share and watched it.
I think doing DVD releases is better than using those WS raws… just be prepared to drown in GURAIN… no idea if that much grain is filterable w/o huge quality lost or if it is needed at all. Personally, I’m disappointed in the quality of both TV and DVD sources.

The DVD raws I watched didn’t have any noticeable grain, but then again I didn’t get them from Share…
As for whether the animation quality itself improves any, the only episode so far that has changes is episode 2. And it looks very nice. c: Unfortunately the rest of the episodes still have their QUARITY intact.

Maybe i got a fake .iso then? Cause the grain was almost unbearable to watch, especially in dark scenes (ep1)

PH quality is just generally shit. Not much we can do about it. Even if we used crazy filters, we can’t really fix it up.
Anyway, thanks for the input — I’m pretty certain we’ll do the DVDs. Not sure if we’ll start from episode 01 or 07 yet, though. We’ll see.

DVD hands down for PH. Since it’s already out and much easier to work with than raw WS, also hope that Ep.6 would be from DVD aswell
